I've been mulling it over in my mind regarding what to do regarding the anti-watermarking movement I'd like to start (or be a part of), and I think I have a solution..

..An organization promoting artists who don't watermark.

Of course, it's a little more complicated than that.  First off, the artists must actually.. well.. possess some talent.  Essentially, an artist would apply, and we (yes, I'd have staff members) would review the artists' portfolio and come to a group consensus.  Should the artist be rejected, they would be welcome to re-apply in 6 months (and, more than likely, we would automate a reminder for that).

Once approved, the artist would be listed in our directory, and would have pieces (as well as their entire portfolio) featured from time to time, including reviews, and gallery announcements.  We'd also list artists available for commission, etc.

I'm still developing the idea, but in the spirit of transparency (rather than partial opacity ), I thought I would share.  This would be similar to my "I Am The Record Label" org I have been working on for the past 2 months.

I still have to come up with a name for this one.
